The Recon 1.0 was created for riders who take to two wheels in search of the great outdoors and saddle up their bikes for adventure. The purpose of the Recon 1.0 is to add confidence and functionality to riders who push their limits uphill to enjoy an unforgettable view, maybe even use pedals for the first time, or hop on the trainer for an after-work spinning session on the spin bike. Comfort and versatility are key, and that's what the Recon 1.0 was made for. Body Geometry: like every Body Geometry shoe, the Recon 1.0 is ergonomically designed and scientifically proven to improve comfort, increase performance and reduce the likelihood of injury for every rider with it's patented technology. It also increases power by 7 watts - confirmed by science. Stride Technology: Stride technology provides a flexible sole and upper around the toe area combined with a rigid lock pocket, allowing the shoe to flex easily when walking but remain stiff and efficient when pedaling. Efficiency: the Recon 1.0 utilizes the L6 Boa Dial with soft Dyneema yarn lacing cables that eliminate unwanted stretch while eliminating hard molded guides, giving the rider a more flexible upper that conforms comfortably to the foot. Additionally, the outsole is optimized to transfer your power to the pedals through balanced stiffness. The Body Geometry outsole and insole have been ergonomically designed and scientifically tested to increase power, efficiency, endurance and reduce the risk of injury by optimizing the hip-knee-foot line. STRIDE toe-flex injection technology allows natural toe movement off the bike, but remains stiff when pedaling (stiffness index 6.0) L6 BOA® Dial with soft Dyneema yarn laces.
